The 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP), one of the most important and recognizable charity events in Poland and worldwide, took place on January 25, 2026. It's a day when hundreds of thousands of volunteers and donors join forces to support specific medical causes, providing help to the youngest patients.

WOŚP 2026 Goal: Pediatric Gastroenterology

This year's edition was titled: "Healthy Bellies of Our Children."

The WOŚP Foundation focused on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in the youngest patients, one of the key areas of pediatric medicine requiring modern equipment and support.

The campaign included traditional street fundraising by approximately 120,000 volunteers in Poland and abroad, as well as numerous auctions, concerts, and accompanying events, from Warsaw, Wrocław, and Poznań, to small towns and communities abroad.

According to media outlets and organizers, the 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity raised a record amount, exceeding 183 million złoty (MEUR 43,5), and the figure continues to grow after the event. This is another historic achievement in the over thirty-year history of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

Exceptional memorabilia up for auction: an FC Barcelona flag autographed by Carles Puyol

A truly unique item has appeared in the final auction: an original FC Barcelona flag autographed by club legend Carles Puyol.

Why is it special?

  • The flag comes from an official FC Barcelona player presentation and measures 48 x 71 cm. It is made of a material resembling rayon, similar to the flags used at club events and presentations.

  • It was autographed by Carles Puyol Saforcada – former FC Barcelona captain, one of the most iconic defenders in the club's history, winner of three Spanish league titles and two UEFA Champions League victories, among others. Puyol also represented Spain at numerous international tournaments, including the World Cup and European Championships.

  • The authenticity of the signature is confirmed by a photograph of Piotrek Mazur, a 14-year-old WOŚP volunteer from Wrocław, who met Puyol during a joint promotion for LaLiga and Movistar in 2025.

Piotr: A Young "Orchestra Player" with a Passion

The flag was donated by 14-year-old Piotrek, who has been an active WOŚP volunteer for years and considers Barcelona, as he himself calls it, "his second home" and is a student at Benjamin Franklin International School. It is his enthusiasm, commitment, and love of football that have led to this memento being auctioned to support children's medical treatment.

This is not only an extraordinary gift for any football fan, but above all, a heartfelt gesture that can contribute to real help for children in need this year.

Summary

The 2026 Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is further proof of how the power of community, the spirit of solidarity, and selfless help can transform reality from street collections to unique auction items, such as a flag signed by Puyol, which raised PLN 5,600 for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Every gesture counts.
